OUTSTANDING DISCOVERY

It was the end of the miserable days of the first lockdown when we chanced on the Le Roux & Fourie site while searching for somewhere to go when Covid was over (we are still to visit!). We were in our cellar, home to many wines that we had collected in our Cape Dutch home, Klein Morgenster, in Johannesburg (so named since its gable is a miniature replica of The Morgenster gable!) and decided there and then to order a selection. None of what we ordered disappointed. Lithologic Rock was simply unique: a unique blend that was pleasing on nose, palate and...

One of a kind blend

The LithoLogic Rock was the first of the Le Roux & Fourie wines I tried and it remains one of my favorites. Truly a one-of-a kind blend that beautifully pays homage to South Africa’s wine country.

One of the best wines I have ever tasted!

This unique blend is one of the best wines I have ever tasted. I am from the US and have yet to find a red blend in my home country that compares to this rich, well rounded South African blend. My other favorites from Le Roux & Fourie include the Carignan, the Pinotage and the Merlot. Grab a few bottles online today or stop by the wine shop for a tasting if you are passing through the Robertson area. You will not be disappointed!
